First composed (and crudely recorded) in 1983, SwingThing originally had a kind of swing beat, hence the title. The original recording was lost or taped over. This new incarnation has evolved from the original (or devolved, depending on your musical tastes) with the introduction of early 70´s Jazz and Pop elements.
I´ve added a bridge, which the original recording lacked and I´ve tried to make the sound a bit more organic with the use of many acoustic samples courtesy of [wikipop]Garritan Personal Orchestra[/wikipop].
